He is also the co-founder of Methods of Mayhem, an hip-hop group. Lee has also been involved in his own music projects. Lee is an avid PETA member and a fervent advocate for the rights of animals. Lee wrote Terry Prather in protest of Tilikum's treatment back in 2010. Lee believed the animal ought to be released and claimed that SeaWorld did not agree, as Tilikum is their principal donor of sperm. Lee expressed his displeasure with SeaWorld's incompetence and strange methods of obtaining Tilikum fertile. Lee declared that he wanted to avoid tragedies similar to trainers' deaths as this was caused by the whales' inability be held captive.
